Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 18, 2026

Tulare Land Surveyor ("we," "us," or "our") provides land surveying services to property owners, builders, and businesses across Tulare County and the Central Valley of California. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

We have written it in plain language rather than legal jargon. If anything here is unclear, call us at (559) 608-3680 and we will explain it.

Information We Collect

Personal Information

We only collect personal information that you choose to give us. The quote form on this website asks for four things:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • An optional message, where you can describe your property, your parcel, or the survey you need

The first three are required so that we can reply to you; the message is optional. If you call us instead of using the form, we may write down the same kinds of details, along with the property address, the parcel number, and any deeds, title reports, or earlier surveys you share with us, so that we can prepare a quote.

Non-Personal Information

Like most websites, ours is delivered by a hosting provider that automatically records basic technical information each time a page loads — such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you viewed, and the date and time. This is standard server logging. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not combine it with the details you send us through the form.

How We Use Your Information

We use what you give us to:

  • Respond to your request and prepare a quote for the survey
  • Research the records for your property and schedule, confirm, and carry out the survey work you have asked for
  • Contact you about a job in progress, including property access, record findings, or changes caused by weather or site conditions
  • Keep records of the surveys we have performed and the quotes we have given
  • Understand which parts of our website people find useful, so we can improve it
  • Meet our legal, professional, and tax obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it to anyone else for their own marketing.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the limited situations described below.

Trusted Service Providers

We rely on a small number of outside services to run this website and handle the requests it receives:

  • A website hosting provider, which delivers these pages and keeps the standard server logs described above.
  • A lead-management provider, which receives what you submit through the quote form and stores it so that we can respond to you and keep track of the request.
  • Google, which provides the analytics described below and supplies the web fonts this site uses and the embedded map in our footer. Because both load directly from Google's servers, Google receives your IP address and standard browser information whenever a page loads — whether or not you use the map or fill in the form.

These providers may use your information only to perform their service for us, and not for their own purposes.

Survey Records and Public Filings

Some survey work requires us to file documents with public agencies — for example a record of survey or corner record with the County Surveyor, or maps and exhibits for a city or county permit. Those filings can include the property owner's name and the property's location, and once filed they become public records. We include only the information the filing requires.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information where the law requires it — for example in response to a subpoena or court order — or where we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to protect our legal rights, to protect someone's safety, or to investigate suspected fraud.

Business Transfers

If this business is ever sold, merged, or transfers its assets, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction. If that happens, the information stays subject to a privacy policy at least as protective as this one.

SMS Messaging and Mobile Information

The quote form asks for your phone number so that we can respond to your request. When you give us your number, you are asking us to get in touch about that request — which may mean a phone call, or a text message about your quote, your fieldwork appointment, or a survey already underway.

To be clear about what we do not do:

  • We do not run a promotional or marketing text message program, and we do not add your number to a recurring text list.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.

You can ask us to stop contacting you by text at any time — reply STOP to any message we send, or simply tell us when we speak. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. Message frequency varies, because we only text you about your specific request. If you would rather we only ever call, tell us at (559) 608-3680 and we will note it on your record.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our site. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies in your browser to count visits and measure which pages are read. We use this only in aggregate, to improve the site — we do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not run advertising tracking on this site.

The information Google Analytics collects is processed by Google, and its use of that data is covered by Google's own privacy policy rather than ours. You can opt out of Google Analytics on any website by installing Google's browser add-on.

The embedded Google map in our footer and the Google-hosted fonts used for our typography are loaded from Google's servers, and Google may set its own cookies or use similar technologies as part of delivering them. That is covered by Google's privacy policy rather than ours.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. This website will still work normally if you do.

Third-Party Links

Our website may link to sites we do not operate, and it embeds a map provided by Google. We offer these for convenience only. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content or accuracy, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website you visit.

Your Privacy Rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct it if it is wrong or out of date
  • Delete it
  • Stop contacting you

Call us at (559) 608-3680 and tell us what you would like us to do. We may need to confirm who you are before acting on the request, and we may need to keep certain records where the law requires it — for example field notes, survey records, and filed maps relating to work we have already performed.

Depending on where you live, state privacy laws — including California's, where they apply to us — may give you additional rights. We will honor those rights wherever they apply.

Children's Privacy

This website is intended for adults arranging land surveying work. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, call us at (559) 608-3680 and we will delete it.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy as our business or this website changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date shown at the top of this page. Continuing to use the website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
